Welcome.
The Mahtomedi Garden Club is a group of
individuals who are passionate about growing beautiful flowers and
learning new things about gardening. We invite you to explore our
site and learn more about the role we play in the community,
opportunities for gardening education, membership, and our special
programs and events.
Garden Club awards grantThe Mahtomedi Garden Club
has awarded a 2008 Community Beautification Grant to the Friends of
Bertha Court Park. This neighborhood group is seeking to improve an
area adjacent to Katherine Abbott Park and has spent the past three
years removing buckthorn from the site. The funds will be used to
purchase native shrubs and flowers.

Should
Mahtomedi have a
community
garden or gardens?
A
community garden is a place to grow vegetables and flowers.
It’s a place where residents who don’t own a spot
suitable or large enough to grow the flowers and vegetables they
would like to grow can rent or lease a plot and dig in.
It’s place where members of the community can work
individually or side by side sharing ideas, seeds, plants and the
pleasure of working the soil.
If
you would like to be included in the
organizational process, please send an e-mail to the Mahtomedi
Garden Club at: mahtomedigc@yahoo.com
or call 426 – 6424 and leave a
message for Dave Stevens.
